As cliche’ as it sounds, sometimes simply trusting in the Universe and the timing of life is the best way to navigate through the tough times.
When you are in a state of panic and everything going on around you seems chaotic, this is your queue to get still and work out what the next best move is to make. Don’t think too far ahead, this will only increase your state of panic about everything.
There is no shortage of videos, quotes and stories around today about people who have pushed through all the barriers and fought against all the odds and made it.
There is no right or wrong way to do it, no secret formula, and getting out of a panic about your life will never come from anything external to you, it can only ever come from within.
What is going on around you, is going on inside of you, remember this.
If your mind is a mess, your thoughts are all over the place and you are feeling like you could explode, then more than likely, your house is a mess, you have bills piling up and you are fighting with those who you love the most.
The Universe is a force that exists within us, it has a plan for us all when we incarnate into our being when we are born, and it gets mad when we don’t listen to it. It will never harm us, but it will issue us with many warnings, and the more warnings we ignore, the more intense they will become.
At this point, many people will start to blame everyone and everything except for themselves; people, situations, work, the Government, it is almost encouraged to not take responsibility for our actions these days, bad behaviour and poor decision making is seemingly rewarded in this world.
This is not rewarded by the Universe however, in fact, it is frowned upon. Even if you think you have gotten away with something for now, it will come back to bite you and you will be right back where you started, get it right the first time or face a lifetime of repeated lessons.
Where you are finding yourself in a state of panic about your life – STOP. Stop everything you are doing and bring it right back to basics.
- Are you breathing?
- Did you eat today?
- Have you got somewhere to sleep tonight?
- Have you got at least one thing in your life that you can be grateful for in this moment of panic?
If you cannot answer yes to at least one of those questions, then you are just being unreasonable, and no one is going to come along and fix everything for you when you are being like that, nor will the Universe.
If we think of our lives as one ongoing process, on of which where being born is the beginning, and dying is the end, no matter what is going on during our days, time is ticking by and we are moving forward. Whether we feel like it or not, the Sun is rising and setting each day regardless of whether or not we want it too. The Sun gives no fucks about you, it just does what it does and it does it regardless, because that is its role and it does it well.
Think about that.
You yourself, much like the Sun, rise each day and you set each night. This is a given. You do things in between rising and setting and you just get it done. When you are in a panic about your life, try thinking back to all of those times you have been here before. Think back to all of the challenges and adversity you have faced in your life up until this point. Give yourself a break knowing that you had the goods to get through everything life has thrown at you up until this point.
Regarding the process of life, sometimes the best thing we can do when everything seems too hard and we feel like we can barely get any oxygen in or out, is to remove ourselves from the process, and trust that it knows what it is doing.
Many things in our lives will just keep rolling on, and often it is we who can be the blocked to a process unfolding, a process which will lead to great things.
When you get back to a state of calm and start working with the Universe as opposed to against it, you won’t even stop to take notice.
How often do you hear someone talking about how many good things that happened to them during a day? Probably not many. But I bet you could immediately recall the number of times you and your best friend have text each other during the day to talk about everything that is pissing you off.
Be mindful of what you are giving your power to.
Negativity and panic are entities unto themselves. They are intelligent, they are like a dark fog that creeps into a room and they will latch onto anyone who is feeling low and vulnerable, they do not discriminate.
But you must know that YOU are also an intelligent being, and you have the power and the capacity to direct where your thoughts and your life is going.
Keep practicing your strength here everyday, and the Universe will return back to you more and more rewards, and this, is where the magic starts to happen.
And very soon you will smile knowing that everything you ever wished for was right there in front of you the whole time, and you will wonder how you every got yourself into such a state of panic in the first place.
